A Warm Welcome, And Wonderful New Friends Join Our Adventures…

A you can tune a piano but you can’t tuna fish good day to each and all, and ride, Sally ride to this beautiful new day, today, we have been dancing with all morning so far.

We’re more and more liking our new surroundings for a good stay, especially when we figure the temps will be dropping a bit more and it will be even more comfortable, which is hordes better than hoping the temps rise so we can be comfortable.  lol

It’s nice now in the morning and then in the evening and through the overnight.  Still a bit hot for us though mid day, we’re a skinny white boy, so from late morning through late afternoon we keep our butt out of the sun.  As  Winter approaches and the temps drop into the lower 70’s F and high 60’s we’ll not be so concerned, but for now, nah, we’ll pass on that heat, thanks.

We’ve been out walking and even took our first bus adventure.  The public transportation system in the area is outstanding, with many bus routes running 24 hours per day, and during the week some routes run every fifteen (15) minutes.  The walk on fare is two (2) bucks but passes are available for hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly rates.

Walking around more, we started noticing the number of Chapels downtown on and near the Strip.  They are here, there, everywhere, including drive thru ones.  There was one section where they were bumping into each other, and it looked like some folks didn’t know which one they were supposed to be at.

Quite a few 7-11’s, Tattoo shops advertising $10 Tats, which was pretty funny but we guess it goes with the penny slots, and of course gambling places and fast food joints.  Surprisingly, there were more smaller bars and clubs than we thought there would be, and there were strip clubs, even adult shops, right, bang, on main streets.  Heck, we were near the Needle, walked around a corner and there was even a Marijuana Dispensary.

There were also tons of closed properties, for lease properties, for sale properties, and empty lots available even with built to spec signs, everywhere you turned.  There looked like there was a whole lot of money that wasn’t there, that’s for sure!

More importantly, our new friends, we’re very excited!  Having been stationary for a few days, and in and out and about, laundry, walks, blah, blah, blah, we have gotten to meet our neighbors, mostly very older folks or very poor folks, and most around us have been where they are for many years, none less than five (5) years so far that we have met.

Anyhooh, our new friends, the one on the left is an Aloe Vera and the one on the right is a species of Cactus.  They are wonderful and good energy, and perfect for our little home.  We’ll make sure they get plenty of sunshine and water, and lots of love, and we look forward to having them join our adventures.  They’ve been enjoying the outside, and we won’t bring them in unless the weather gets too cold, but then again, if the weather gets too cold for them it is probably too cold for us and we’d be heading for better weather anyways.  lol

The fun, the fun, the fun…

We’ve still lots to do today, this day, but we may yet still go back out and shoot some pool later at the local watering hole, once the sun goes down and the temp with it.  The place is too close not to walk to.  We bring our own quarters for the pool table, we have plenty.  Nobody is ever playing, there are never more than a few people ever there.  They don’t have mudslides, but we’ll shoot pool by our self through three (3) Corona’s, with limes, lol, a couple hours tops, if, and then walk our butt back to the RV, a good time had.

We’ll see…

Peace
